In early fall there's a lot going on, that changes Deer's food sources and daily eating habits due to availability. There are grains and beans such as Corn, Wheat and Soybeans being harvested. The harvest process leaves a lot of crop on the ground for animals such as Deer to feed on. There are also other natural food sources starting to drop from trees to the ground such as Acorns, Muscadines, Persimmons, Honey Locust and Black Locust Beans etc….for Deer to choose from. Any of the food sources are luscious to Deer!
All this makes it challenging for any Deer attractant to work at it's peak during this time since there is so much to choose from that Nature is offering for a short period during Fall and early Winter months therefore; we suggest applying C'Mere Deer to a food source or in close proximity to food sources presently used by Deer (this will take some scouting of your own to determine this!).
In areas where Deer have access to corn or where the hunter has been feeding corn we often times mix some whole corn with our powdered and pelletized attractants, we also soak and/or spray corn with our liquid attractants to initially introduce it to the deer. Another words it is easier for the deer to acclimate to the attractant as a food source. This not only enhances the food source you are treating, in our trail camera studies after only a few days we can see that Deer start to prefer our Attractants over the natural food sources when applied on them or mixed together.
At C'Mere Deer we do a tremendous amount of trail camera studies year around. We know for a fact once Deer acclimate to C'Mere Deer Attractants they'll devour it and return for more as you do to your favorite restaurant!
